Terms of Use
KIN PADEL LTD | 14 October 2026
Welcome to Kin. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Kin app, website and related services operated by KIN PADEL LTD (“Kin”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By creating an account or using Kin, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. What Kin is
Kin is a player ranking and community platform for amateur padel players. Kin enables players to build a portable playing identity, record and verify matches, develop a Kin level and ranking, track their progress, participate in leaderboards and Groups, use My Circle, and connect with other players. Our ambition is to make your Kin identity useful wherever you play.
Kin is not a padel club, court operator, tournament governing body or booking platform unless we expressly state otherwise. We do not control the facilities, clubs, courts, competitions or third-party services at which matches take place.
2. Who can use Kin
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Kin account or use Kin. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18, the information you provide is accurate, you can legally agree to these Terms and you will comply with them.
You may only create an account for yourself unless Kin expressly permits otherwise. We may restrict or delete an account if we reasonably believe that the user is under 18 or has provided false information.
3. Your Kin account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure, providing accurate account information and keeping that information reasonably up to date.
You must not impersonate another person, create a misleading or fraudulent identity, allow another person to use your account, create multiple accounts to manipulate rankings or results, sell or transfer your account or attempt unauthorised access to another account.
If you believe your account has been compromised, contact hello@kinpadel.com.
4. Your Kin profile and visibility
Your Kin profile represents your playing identity. Depending on the features used and your settings, it may contain your player name, photograph, location, Kin level, ranking, match history, statistics, ranking progression, Groups, My Circle connections and other information you choose to provide.
Core player-network information, including player name, level, ranking and match-related information, may be visible to other Kin users. Features and privacy controls may vary. See our Privacy Policy and in-app settings for details about what is visible and how personal information is used.
5. Match results
Kin depends on trustworthy match data. When submitting, confirming or disputing a match, you must provide information that you honestly believe to be accurate.
You must not submit fictional matches or players, falsify scores or results, manipulate rankings with others, repeatedly submit duplicate matches, falsely confirm or reject a result or otherwise seek to artificially influence a Kin level or ranking.
A submitted match may appear in the records of other participants. Kin may use confirmation, verification, automated checks and other reasonable safeguards to maintain record integrity. If one participant deletes an account, a legitimate shared match record may be retained or anonymised where lawful, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
6. Match verification and disputes
Kin may allow another participant to confirm or dispute a submitted match. Where the product expressly indicates this, a result may be automatically confirmed after a stated period if no dispute is raised.
Where a result is disputed, we may ask for information, temporarily exclude it from rankings, amend its status, remove or restore it, or take action against accounts involved in manipulation.
You may request a review at hello@kinpadel.com with relevant supporting information. We will consider information reasonably available and act fairly, but cannot always disclose other users’ information or confidential anti-fraud methods. Kin is not an official sporting tribunal; its decisions concern the Kin platform only.
7. Kin levels, calibration and rankings
Your level and ranking may be calculated using eligible verified match results, the relative performance or levels of participants and other factors in Kin’s proprietary methodology. Your ranking may change following eligible matches.
When you join, Kin may ask calibration questions to estimate your starting level. Answer honestly and accurately. Your initial estimate is provisional and may change as verified match data accumulates. Deliberately misleading calibration information may be treated as ranking manipulation.
Levels and rankings may change because of your or other players’ results, corrected or disputed matches, population changes, applicable inactivity rules, ranking-system improvements and integrity measures. We may refine or replace the methodology, but will not deliberately change an individual player’s ranking for an improper purpose.
A Kin level or ranking is an assessment within the Kin platform and is not an official classification issued by a sporting federation, governing body, club or organiser unless expressly agreed otherwise. Third parties decide whether and how to recognise it.
8. Ranking integrity
We may investigate evidence of fabricated matches, coordination, duplicate accounts, deliberate misreporting, account sharing or misuse of verification. Where reasonably necessary and proportionate, we may exclude matches from calculations, correct affected data, require further verification, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts.
9. Groups, My Circle and leaderboards
Kin may allow players to create or join Groups, connect with selected players in My Circle and participate in private, local, national or other leaderboards. Specific features and visibility settings depend on the version of Kin and the choices available to you.
Group creators may be able to invite or remove members and manage Group settings. Creating a Group, joining My Circle or appearing on a leaderboard does not transfer ownership of another player’s account, profile, level, ranking or match data.
A Group or My Circle leaderboard may reflect the same underlying player identity and match information used elsewhere on Kin. You must not use these features to harass, threaten, intimidate, discriminate against or target any person.
10. Invitations and referrals
Kin may allow you to invite non-users. Only provide contact information where you are reasonably entitled to do so; do not use invitations for unsolicited bulk marketing, spam or harassment. An invited person has no obligation to join.
From time to time Kin may offer referral rewards. Where the introductory referral promotion is made available, its reward is fourteen (14) days of complimentary Kin+ for an eligible referring player who introduces five (5) different new players who each complete a first verified match. This reward may be claimed only once per referring account. Mere registrations do not qualify.
Eligibility, availability, verification and any expiry period will be explained in the relevant offer. We may reasonably investigate suspected fraud, self-referrals, duplicate accounts or manipulated matches and withhold a reward not validly earned. We may change or end a promotion prospectively, without arbitrarily withdrawing a reward already earned under its published conditions. Promotional benefits have no cash value and are not transferable unless expressly stated.
11. Community standards
Kin is a padel community. Treat others lawfully and respectfully. You must not threaten, bully, harass, sexually harass, unlawfully discriminate, defraud, impersonate, intimidate or abuse; encourage violence or crime; share unlawful or hateful content; expose another person’s sensitive data without authority; distribute malicious code; spam; scrape user information without permission; or compromise security.
Kin is not a forum for political or religious campaigning. Do not use Kin profiles, Groups, images or communications for organised political or religious campaigning, proselytising or advocacy unrelated to padel. This rule regulates use of Kin features, not users’ personal beliefs. We may remove content that breaches these Terms and provide reporting tools.
12. Content you provide
You retain any ownership rights you have in content that you lawfully upload, including profile photographs, match photographs, Group images and comments. You confirm that you have the necessary rights to provide that content.
You grant KIN PADEL LTD a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and technically adapt your content to the extent reasonably necessary to provide and improve Kin, display your chosen activity, operate community features, prevent abuse and preserve platform integrity.
This licence generally ends when content is deleted, subject to lawful retention of shared match records, necessary security, dispute or legal records, and material that has been irreversibly anonymised. Any continued processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy and applicable law. We do not acquire ownership of your photographs or other original content under this licence.
13. Photos and uploaded images
You may be able to upload profile, match and Group images. You are responsible for uploaded images and must have the right to share them, including any appropriate permissions relating to identifiable third parties.
Do not upload unlawful, sexually explicit, exploitative, hateful, threatening, harassing, defamatory or seriously offensive material; another person’s private information without authority; infringing material; impersonation; unauthorised advertising; or images used for organised political or religious campaigning or proselytising.
We may review, hide, restrict or remove images that reasonably appear to breach these Terms or applicable law and may use automated systems, human review or both. We do not promise to screen every image before publication. Report concerns using available tools or hello@kinpadel.com.
14. Kin intellectual property
Kin and its licensors retain rights in the Kin name, branding, software, interfaces, graphics, databases, data structures, ranking system, calibration methodology, algorithms, calculations, weighting logic and other proprietary technology and content.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use Kin in accordance with these Terms. This does not transfer intellectual property ownership.
Except to the extent permitted by law, you must not copy or substantially reproduce Kin, reverse engineer or attempt to obtain its source code or protected methodology, systematically extract player or match data, recreate the Kin ranking algorithm, use unauthorised Kin data to train or develop a competing rating system, misuse our marks or commercially exploit Kin intellectual property without written permission. Nothing in this section prevents lawful activities that cannot be restricted by contract.
15. Kin One and paid services
Kin may provide a free tier known as Kin One and paid tiers including Kin+. Other products may be introduced in future. Current features and eligibility will be described within Kin or on its website.
Features may develop over time. Where a change materially affects an existing paid subscription, we will provide notice and any legally required choice, remedy or refund.
16. Kin+ subscriptions, prices and cancellation
Before purchase, we will display the applicable subscription price, billing period, key features, whether it automatically renews and any trial or promotional conditions. Kin+ is currently intended to be offered at £2.99 per month in the UK, but the binding price is the amount shown in the purchase flow.
Pricing and Taxes. Subscription prices may vary by country, currency and applicable taxes. The total price, including any applicable taxes, will be displayed before purchase in accordance with local consumer protection laws.
Where automatic renewal is offered, it applies only where disclosed and accepted during purchase and permitted by law. The purchase flow or app-store account will explain the renewal frequency, payment obligation and cancellation process.
Purchases through Apple, Google or another provider may be billed and administered by that provider under its applicable terms. You can cancel using the cancellation method made available by the provider through which you purchased. Cancellation generally stops future renewal; access ordinarily continues through the paid period unless applicable purchase terms or law provide otherwise.
Refund and withdrawal rights depend on applicable law and purchase conditions. We will provide any legally required pre-contract information, confirmations, renewal reminders and cancellation or cooling-off rights. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights.
17. Trials, Kin 500 and promotional access
We may offer trials, complimentary access or promotional pricing. Before a trial that converts into a paid subscription begins, we will disclose when charging starts, the amount and frequency, whether renewal is automatic and how to cancel. We will provide reminders and notices required by law.
Kin 500 is an invitation-only founding programme intended to recognise a maximum of 500 selected founding players globally. Acceptance and eligibility are subject to the programme invitation and any stated conditions. The Kin 500 founding badge and allocated founding number are personal, non-transferable recognition of that status.
An accepted and eligible Kin 500 member receives complimentary Kin+ access for the lifetime of the Kin+ service, while that service remains available and the member retains an account in good standing. “Lifetime” refers to the operating life of the Kin+ service, not the individual’s lifetime; it does not include different future paid tiers such as Kin Pro unless expressly offered. We will not charge Kin 500 members for Kin+ while that entitlement applies.
We may suspend or withdraw Kin 500 benefits for proven fraud, transfer or sale of an account, or serious or repeated breaches of these Terms, subject to fair review. We may evolve Kin+ features in accordance with Section 18, but will not arbitrarily revoke a valid founding entitlement merely because pricing or ownership changes. Other invitations, early-access opportunities or events may be subject to availability and separate conditions.
Promotional eligibility and redemption controls may be used reasonably to prevent duplicate or abusive claims. Except where expressly stated, promotional benefits are personal and cannot be sold or transferred.
18. Changes to Kin
Kin evolves. We may introduce, improve, change or discontinue features for legitimate product, security, legal, technical or business reasons. We will consider the impact on players and provide reasonable advance notice where practicable of material changes. If a change materially reduces a paid service, we will provide any remedy required by law.
19. Third-party services
Kin may link to or integrate with independent clubs, venues, booking platforms, payment providers or other third parties. Unless we expressly state otherwise, they operate independently under their own terms and policies. We do not control their availability or decisions and are not responsible for their acts or omissions to the extent permitted by law.
20. Playing padel and physical activity
Kin provides digital tools; it does not supervise matches or control playing environments. Physical activity entails risk. You are responsible for assessing whether you are fit to participate and for playing safely. Kin does not provide medical advice or a medical assessment. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
21. Clubs, venues and competitions
Clubs or organisers may choose to recognise Kin information. Unless expressly stated, we do not guarantee a court or club booking, acceptance of a Kin level, tournament entry, competition eligibility, other players’ availability or any third party’s decision.
22. Reporting problems
Report potentially unsafe, unlawful or rule-breaking content, users or behaviour using the in-app reporting options, where available, or hello@kinpadel.com. We may investigate and take proportionate action. A report does not guarantee a particular outcome; malicious or knowingly false reporting is prohibited.
23. Suspending or terminating accounts
You may stop using Kin at any time. We may restrict, suspend or terminate an account where we reasonably believe there has been serious or repeated breach, manipulation, fraud, security abuse, unlawful use, harm to others, underage access or a material threat to Kin or its users.
Where appropriate, we will explain our decision and permit a review request at hello@kinpadel.com. We may act immediately in serious cases and review afterwards. We may withhold sensitive security, investigation or third-party details when reasonably necessary.
24. Deleting your account
You may request deletion of your Kin account and, where the feature is available, initiate deletion in the app. Our website may also provide account-deletion instructions.
Deletion does not necessarily erase every underlying record immediately. We may retain or anonymise information where lawful and necessary to preserve legitimate shared match records, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, address disputes or protect platform integrity, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Deleting a Kin account may not cancel an automatically renewing subscription bought through an app store or payment provider. Cancel separately with the relevant provider. Deletion does not automatically entitle you to a refund; statutory rights remain unaffected.
25. Availability of Kin
We aim to offer a reliable service but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Maintenance, upgrades, infrastructure issues, security incidents and events beyond our reasonable control may affect availability. We may temporarily suspend functions where reasonably necessary.
26. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
If we breach these Terms or fail to exercise reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage as required by law. We are not responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable. Kin is intended for personal use; we do not accept liability for business losses resulting from unauthorised commercial use, except where law requires otherwise. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
27. No guaranteed ranking outcome
We take reasonable steps to make rankings credible, but do not guarantee that a level perfectly reflects skill, that a particular ranking will be reached or retained, that every match will affect a ranking, or that other users will agree with your level. Rankings depend on available data and may change following corrections or methodology improvements.
28. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms as Kin or applicable law changes. The updated date appears at the top. For material changes significantly affecting your rights or use of the service, we will take reasonable steps to notify you and seek acceptance where legally required. If you disagree, you may stop using Kin and cancel a paid subscription, subject to your legal rights.
29. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain and protect personal information relating to profiles, rankings, matches, photographs, invitations and account deletion, and how you may exercise applicable privacy rights. Read it alongside these Terms.
30. If part of these Terms is invalid
If any provision is held unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining Terms continue to apply to the extent legally possible.
31. No waiver
A delay or failure by Kin to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
32. Transfer of these Terms
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation, including in connection with a financing, restructure, merger, acquisition or sale of the business, where permitted by law. We will ensure that any transfer does not materially diminish your contractual or statutory rights and will provide notice or seek consent where required.
You may not transfer your account or rights under these Terms to another person without our permission.
33. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in England or Wales, you may bring proceedings in those courts. If you live elsewhere, mandatory consumer laws may entitle you to bring proceedings in the courts of your habitual residence or benefit from protections that cannot be excluded by these Terms.
